Himalayas

The mountain region of the Himalayas include Tibet and Nepal. Their beautiful workmanship in apparent in the repousse and stone jewelry and beads, Tibetian ghau (gau) boxes and prayer malas, and dorje jewelry and pendants.

The Himalaya Range (Sanskrit: literally, “abode of snow”, Hindi/Sanskrit: हिमालय, IPA: /hɪˈmɑːləj(ə)/), or the Himalaya for short, is a mountain range in Asia, separating the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau. By extension, it is also the name of a massive mountain system that includes the Karakoram, the Hindu Kush, and other, lesser, ranges that extend out from the Pamir Knot. Countries include Bhutan, People’s Republic of China, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan.
